HRPV’s Partner in software development and technology solutions is looking for a Software Project Manager (Japanese/Chinese) to collaborate directly with international clients and global engineering teams, contributing to the consulting, design, and implementation of embedded software solutions for automotive systems.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical foundation, solid system-thinking skills, and experience working in an international, client-facing environment.
A. Job Objectives
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire software domain of the product, ensuring project delivery in terms of timeline, cost, and quality, while working directly with international clients and development teams across multiple countries.
B. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the software domain throughout the project lifecycle, from project initiation to final release.
- Work directly with international clients and stakeholders to clarify and align project requirements.
- Manage project planning, schedule, risks, and quality based on the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) model.
- Analyze, clarify, and document software requirements in collaboration with technical teams.
- Assign tasks to development team members and monitor project progress.
- Lead the team in resolving issues and challenges arising during software development.
- Support team development by providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members when needed.
C. Job requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- More than 7 years of experience in embedded software development with at least 4 years experience in management roles.
- Strong understanding of Microcontrollers and Microprocessors (MCU/MPU).
- Solid knowledge of the V-Model development process.
- Strong skills in risk management, project planning, and progress tracking.
- Proficient communication skills in English and Japanese (or Chinese).
