OUR PARTNER is a Japanese corporation specializing in providing water/wastewater treatment solutions and services and is looking for potential candidates for the position of Process Engineer with at least 2 years of experience.
A. Job Objectives
We are looking for a potential candidate with 2+ years of EPC project experience in process design, P&ID creation, and hydraulic calculations. Strong knowledge in process optimization and piping systems is essential. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
B. Duties & Responsibilities
– Work with technical documents like P&IDs, layouts, specifications, and process drawings.
– Responsible for preparing detailed designs, including planning piping routes, skid layouts, and equipment configurations based on fundamental plans.
– Assist with mechanical design, manage P3D models, and contribute to engineering improvements.
– Create P&IDs in Plant3D, prepare RFQs, and perform calculations for equipment selection and piping.
– Develop layouts, provide outsourcing guidance, and create technical documentation.
– Optimize workflows and handle other assigned tasks.
C. Job requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental, Biological Engineering, or related fields.
– At least 2 years of EPC project experience in Process, T&C positions, preferably in water treatment.
– Proficient in P&ID creation and interpretation, as well as reading technical documents and drawings in English.
– Familiar with material standards for structural design, tanks, vessels, piping (JIS or equivalent), and isometric drawings.
– Skilled in hydraulic calculations, valve and pump selection, and process documentation creation.
– Knowledge of fluid analysis simulation, and experience with Plant 3D, AVEVA P&ID, AutoCAD 2D/3D, and Cardworks Plant.
– Familiar with programming (Python, API programming such as Forge, Power BI, VBA).
– Good communication skills in English; Japanese proficiency is a plus.
– Proficient in MS Office and process design tools.
– Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
