Mechanical Piping Engineer

Our client is a global engineering firm with a strong presence in Vietnam, specializing in the design and execution of water and wastewater treatment systems. They are seeking a Mechanical Piping Engineer with expertise in piping design for water treatment facilities.

A. Job Objectives

• Develop high-quality mechanical designs for global water and wastewater treatment projects
• Support the growth and innovation of the engineering center through expertise in piping and structural design.
• Collaborate effectively with international engineering teams and ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the organization.

B. Duties & Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed engineering drawings for piping systems, skids, vessels, tanks, pipe racks, and stages.
• Ensure designs comply with specifications, P&IDs, and layout standards.
• Use tools such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, Advanced Steel, Robot Structural Analysis, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Collaborate with global teams and support other related design tasks as assigned.

C. Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Biological Engineering.
• 2+ YOE in piping, pressure vessel, or pipe rack design (preferably in water treatment, factory, or building equipment projects).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D piping design software (Plant 3D, E3D/PDMS).
• Experience with structural and BIM software is a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of fluid engineering, material selection, and mechanical components.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Good English communication skills; Japanese is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and commitment to long-term career growth.
